Subliminal Messaging

Random memory of the day:

When I was a freshman at Morehouse, I had my first phone line. I was obsessed with it, even though it rarely rang and I could barely afford the long distance charges I was racking up (this was way back in 1996).

Once, as I was setting the “Hi you’ve reached Seth…” voicemail message, I had the brilliant idea to include a subliminal message under some music.

People heard my standard greeting withe Tupac’s “Picture Me Rolling” in the background. What they didn’t (consciously) hear was my boy Kyle repeating the words “give me what I want” in low register.

I only kept it on there for a few days, but I think I may have been on to something….
